Portocristo hosts 'Poetic Sea', a dialogue between Miquel Àngel Riera, the arts, and the sea.
The cycle will take place between September 25 and 27
PalmManacor City Council presents the new 'Mar Poètic' series, a cultural initiative born from the desire to connect poetry, music, dance, and the visual arts with the marine environment and with the work of Miquel Àngel Riera as its guiding thread.
For three days, from September 25th to 27th, Portocristo will become a space for artistic experimentation and a meeting place around words, with free performances, workshops, and recitals that invite you to "miquelangelear" (become a miquelangelear), to experience art as a declaration of love and commitment. The series was presented today with the participation of Antònia Llodrà, Portocristo delegate; Ferran Montero, Culture delegate; and Jaume Gomila, project coordinator.

A project rooted in the territory
The Portocristo delegate, Antònia Llodrà, stressed that "we have wanted to give this recognition to Miquel Àngel Riera and the legacy he left us for a long time, and we are doing so with a series of activities for all ages centered around poetry and words."
The Culture delegate, Ferran Montero, highlighted "that this festival puts poetry at the center," while emphasizing "the cultural boom that Portocristo has experienced in recent years." Finally, the series coordinator, Jaume Gomila, emphasized that the festival "features top-level artists" and said that MAR poético was born to "play with words, with art, with music and with the landscape," all to pay tribute to and revive one of the greatest writers in the Catalan language.
