Residents of three apartments in a building located at number 51 Gaspar Bennàssar Street in Palma have been evacuated after infrastructure deficiencies were detected. The residents of one of these three apartments have been temporarily housed by municipal social services. In this regard, the applicants denounce the fact that the grading criteria for the psychometric and personality tests were never published. They also claim that the examining board itself announced in writing, in a pre-test proceeding, that these criteria and cut-off scores would be communicated before the start of the exercises, information which, they maintain, "was never provided."

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an orange alert for wind and waves in Ibiza and the sea off Mallorca for Wednesday. A yellow alert has also been issued for wind and coastal phenomena in much of Mallorca and Menorca. According to Aemet, waves of up to four meters are expected in Ibiza and Formentera, as well as in southern and eastern Mallorca. Wind gusts of up to 70 km/h are also expected in Ibiza, the Tramuntana mountain range, and southern Mallorca. Firefighters in Mallorca had to intervene this Sunday to evacuate a man who fell in the Biniaraix ravine. The incident occurred Saturday night when the hiker had an accident and, despite managing to reach the area's shelter, was unable to continue down. This Sunday morning, the man alerted the emergency services, who mobilized the Mountain Rescue Group (GRM). The team transported him by helicopter, specifically with His Milanese...to Son Espases University Hospital, where he received medical attention. A 65-year-old hiker had to be rescued this Saturday at midday after falling ill while hiking in the Fumat area, one of the steepest and most demanding sections of Mallorca's north coast. The man was on a trail when, for reasons that have not been disclosed, he became unwell and was unable to continue on his own. According to the Mallorca Fire Department, upon receiving the emergency call, the Milana rescue helicopter, the specialized aerial unit for intervention in difficult-to-access locations, was immediately activated. The aircraft flew to the indicated location, and once there, the firefighters located the hiker, who was in an area particularly challenging to reach. The firefighters stabilized him and ensured his evacuation, a maneuver that in this rugged terrain requires precise coordination between ground personnel and the air team. Once he was rescued, the man was taken to Son Espases University Hospital for treatment. No further details about his condition have been released at this time.

The emergency personnel deployed to help fight the fires in Castile and León, consisting of 46 personnel and 21 vehicles, are returning home after completing their duties, working in their assigned areas to maintain their full operational capacity in the Balearic Islands, as the islands are in peak fire risk season from August 15th to November.

A firefighter was injured this Wednesday while extinguishing a fire that burned a hectare of stubble in Inca. The firefighter, from the Inca fire station, suffered serious burns in the blaze that broke out next to the Constancia stadium, on Avenida Jaume I, and which was attended by firefighters from the Mallorca Fire Department and the Ibanat (National Fire Service).

Last night, the Consell de Mallorca Fire Department rescued four young people who had gotten lost in the mountains of the Sangonera mountain range. According to the fire department, the incident occurred at 9:56 p.m. on Monday, and the young people were found in good condition. Civil Protection personnel also intervened.

The Governing Board approved the agreement between the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands (CAIB) and Palma City Council, which establishes the early termination of the contract for the construction, maintenance, and operation of the Magdalena Rigo Central Fire Station.
