Eight out of ten teachers in the Balearic Islands who participated in a consultation promoted by the Independent, Autonomous and United Union (SIAU) are in favour of calling an indefinite strike in the education sector. According to the results of the survey made public this Monday by the union, 80.8% of participants support this option, while 11.7% oppose it and 7.5% state they do not have a defined position.

The union representatives of the IB-Salut ambulances have registered a strike call in the four islands to demand labor improvements and the fulfillment of pending agreements. This strike is to guarantee the safety of both doctors and patients." The organization apologized for any inconvenience the mobilization might cause and noted that a protest of this magnitude had not been held since 1995.
