The Mallorca Firefighters have controlled this Sunday a fire declared at the Mac Insular waste treatment plant, located in the municipality of Porreres.

Personnel from the Balearic Nature Institute (Ibanat) are acting on two forest fires of potential severity 0 in Bunyola, Mallorca. On one hand, a fire has been confirmed at Coll d'Honor at 08:20 and, on the other, two active outbreaks have been confirmed since 02:42 at Son Creus. At this latter point, 19 forest firefighters, 2 fire engines, and 1 environmental agent are working.

Two people died this Thursday early in the morning in a fire that broke out at 5.23 am in a residential building in Magaluf, in the Mallorcan municipality of Calvià, where several people were also injured. The Civil Guard reported that the deceased are a 58-year-old man of Argentine nationality and a woman who has not yet been identified. They also added that they did not live together, but were in different homes at the time of the fire.

A patient from the Psychiatry area of Son Espases hospital has caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished without causing significant personal or material damage.
