The budgetary liquidation of 2025 has opened a new political confrontation in Pollença between the PP and the governing team. Both sides agree on one fact: the City Council has failed to comply with the spending rule and will have to draw up a financial economic plan. The disagreement, however, arises when interpreting the figures and the real seriousness of the situation.

'We want to swim at the Dock again'. Today, Friday, May 15, access restrictions to the Formentor peninsula have come into effect, a measure that this year has been brought forward by fifteen days compared to previous seasons. The restriction of vehicle access to Formentor begins this Friday, May 15th. This year the restriction has been brought forward by 15 days and will end on October 18th at the request of the Pollença City Council. The closure hours will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and access to Formentor will only be possible by public transport, on foot, or by bicycle.

More than twenty years ago, the Pollença Wine Fair was almost an excuse to meet, toast, and build community. A more festive than specialized event, where wine served as a common thread to bring together friends, producers, and the curious in a much more informal atmosphere than what we know today.

That oceanic posidonia is one of the greatest treasures of our sea, we could all say we know it. Or that we should know it. We should also know that it is responsible for the incomparable color of our sea and the “mother house” for a whole world of living beings that are and exist thanks to it. Furthermore, it is a natural agent in the fight against climate change, because it captures carbon dioxide: it is the lung of the sea.
