The Pollença City Council has condemned the acts of vandalism that have affected various elements of the municipality's heritage, especially in the surroundings of the Joan March gardens and the Convent of Sant Domingo. The graffiti, of different sizes and colors, has affected both sculptures and architectural elements in the area.

A 69-year-old man of British nationality died by drowning this Friday afternoon while swimming in Port de Pollença. According to the Civil Guard's reconstruction of events, the man suffered a heart attack while swimming in the sea and ended up drowning.

Mallorca will become these days an international meeting point for spinning top lovers. A three-year-old British girl has died at Son Espases Hospital after drowning on Wednesday in a swimming pool at a holiday rental property in Pollença. About fifty people have participated in the creation of The Last Day of May: The Other Heroes, a short film linked to the events of May 31, 1550, and premiered this week in Pollença as part of the events leading up to the Patrona festival. The production, directed by Martí Pallicer, recovers a lesser-known part of that historical episode and focuses on characters who, despite having existed, are not part of the most popular narrative of the festival.
