Residents of Esporles have warned of the possible holding of bullfighting events on a property with a bullring whose construction has been halted by the Territorial Defense Agency (ADT). This was reported by the Franz Weber Foundation, according to Europa Press, which demanded an explanation from the municipal council and other institutions. In a statement, the animal rights association denounced that the company managing the property is the sole administrator of the company promoting the bullfights in Inca and the upcoming bullfight on September 14 in Muro. "The stench of mafia seems to spread throughout the Part Forana," it criticized.

The Franz Weber Foundation will propose that Palma's 'Child-Friendly City' label be removed, considering the Court "complicit by omission" in the admission of children and adolescents to bullfighting events, thus ignoring the objection of the UNICEF Committee on the Rights of the Child on the matter.

The Franz Weber Foundation announced this Monday that it has filed a complaint with the Balearic Office for Children and Adolescents (OBIA) for the promotion of specific tickets for minors for the bullfight scheduled for Palma on August 7.
