A pioneering study has systematically identified for the first time the population of bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) that frequents the waters of Cabrera National Maritime-Terrestrial Park. The research, driven by the Turisops association, with the support of the Mallorca Preservation foundation and sponsorship from Craghoppers, has detected at least 82 different individuals over more than two years of acoustic monitoring.

Two adult striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalbaTwo dead sea turtles were found on January 18th and 19th on two beaches in the Balearic Islands. One was found in Cala Galdana, Menorca, and the other on Trenc beach, Mallorca. In both cases, the animals were found in good physical condition and were taken to the Palma Aquarium Foundation facilities for analysis and scientific study.

A striped dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba) has appeared on the coast of Mallorca, specifically on Muro beach, in the Común area. Lifeguards activated the corresponding action protocol, after the bathers themselves alerted the Emergency Services.
