Marga Prohens' Government cannot be blamed for decades of saturation. However, the social and environmental movements calling for this summer's demonstrations – Menorca is giving the lead – consider that “it cannot be stated that they have taken a single real containment measure, not even to mitigate the impacts,” according to UIB geographer Macià Blázquez.

The recent popular singing of ‘La Balanguera’, organized by Obra Cultural Balear, was attended by Marga Prohens and other PP officials. The intention seemed to be, on the part of the organization, to hold a politically transversal symbolic event devoid of ideological connotations. Migrant organizations from the Balearic Islands have expressed this Saturday their "deep indignation" at the decision of the Government of Marga Prohens to appeal to the Supreme Court against the extraordinary regularization process approved by the Spanish government and to request its provisional suspension. Among the signing organizations are the Platform for Immigration in the Balearic Islands, the Federation of Immigrant Associations (FADI), the Association of Ecuadorians of Ibiza and Formentera, and the Association of Senegalese of the Balearic Islands.

The government insists with a stubborn obstinacy to sell us the "Alquiler Seguro" program as housing policy, despite its unmitigated failure. It has captured a meager 4.1% of the flats it predicted: 82 out of 2,000. It has had to swallow the inflated figures it packaged to get headlines, amplified by TeleProhens, a public and propagandistic entity immune to discouragement in the face of the single message that the Balearic Islands are doing well.

The PP and Vox pact in the Balearic Islands had just been signed when Marga Prohens gave an order that, over time, has become an internal benchmark of her term. It was October 17, 2023, and Parliament was debating a non-binding proposal (PNL) from Vox with no legal effect on Catalan in schools. Despite its symbolic nature, the text specified a point of the agreement between the two parties that the PP had deliberately left open: how the free choice of language should be applied. When Prohens opted to abstain, the initiative failed and the first crisis with her partners opened up. The clash resulted, shortly after, in Vox's rejection of the incoming government's first spending ceiling. "We lost a fundamental law over a PNL," recalls a Popular Party source ironically. Now that the PP is once again revving up its electoral machinery, party sources recall this episode as one that best explains the first three years of the legislature.

Marga Prohens recovered at the presentation of her candidacy to lead the PP a slogan from the 2023 electoral campaign: “We are the party of the local people”. How has this translated into the Government's management?

Regularization, migration, the people from here, siren effect, registry, residence, rights, collapse, obstacles, boycott... These words –and a few more– have been monopolizing the political debate for weeks, in a loop that no longer hides where it is heading and that drags us towards increasingly dark ideological zones. Meanwhile, an idea as simple as it is uncomfortable is consolidating: skin color, place of birth, and the religion practiced determine a person's rights in the Balearic Islands. What is the excuse? That to be a full citizen, one must accumulate years of residence.

Marga Prohens has hung up her presidential robes, put on some jeans, and bet everything on blue in her first purely electoral event, this Thursday in Portitxol.remodelled once) without seats, while the deputy spokesperson in the Parliament, Marga Duran, acted as an improvised hostess and directed the attendees.

It was not easy for Marga Prohens to find a substitute for Carlos Simarro in the Directorate General of Coasts and Littoral. At the time of this interview, the facts were not known.

"Healthcare [assistance] for people without legal residence represents 1%. We must attend to them for reasons of humanity and public health." This is how Prohens spoke in the Parliament plenary on Tuesday about what the attention to migrants means for the services of the Islands, who, despite residing in the Balearic Islands, have not yet regularized their administrative situation. The president had to respond to a question from Vox about the healthcare spending for the attention of people in an irregular situation, a pointless request, as Prohens herself made clear: "IB-Salut only has one budget and one accounting, and no items are distinguished based on where they come from." "A public representative should know this," she reproached the spokesperson for the far-right, Manuela Cañadas, who this Wednesday has accused the Government of opacity for not making non-existent data public. "Mrs. Prohens has decided that the money of all citizens is a state secret," criticized Cañadas.

The Government presented this Monday the Balearic Agency for Digitalization, Cybersecurity and Telecommunications, IB Digital, the autonomous body that will lead the digital transformation of the regional administration and place the Balearic Islands at "the technological forefront". The president of the regional executive, Marga Prohens, presided over the presentation event, at which she stressed that the creation of IB Digital represents "a decisive step towards building a 21st-century administration, more agile, more efficient, and citizen-centered". "It is the biggest technological revolution in the regional administration in the last 25 years", she remarked.

The sale of the warehouse and the rustic land exploited by the founding company l'Esplet is now the last chapter in the disappearance of a benchmark in the Balearic countryside. At the beginning of the month, the company's closure and the dismissal of its 19 workers due to economic problems were made public. Now, two weeks later, the company is selling the warehouse and land for five million euros.

The apocalypse is approaching while the President of the Government, Marga Prohens, learns to dance bachata and someone in her cabinet, in a fit of inspiration, decides this is relevant enough information to share with the world. As could be expected, the PSIB reminded everyone of this throughout the six hours of the Parliament session on Tuesday. The Chamber increasingly resembles a stand-up comedy stage: everyone brings their prepared monologue, and if it goes well, the audience might even laugh for a while.

The Government has made public its first package of measures to mitigate the economic impact of the war in Iran. The president, Marga Prohens, has detailed that more than 160 million euros will be mobilized with the aim of protecting companies, safeguarding jobs, and preventing price increases from directly affecting the shopping basket of families in the Balearic Islands. The announcement was made after a meeting attended by the ministers of the affected areas, island and municipal representatives, and the main social agents.

Palma will have a new metro line connecting the Intermodal Station with Son Espases University Hospital in just ten minutes. The infrastructure, expected to be operational by 2033, will represent a significant expansion of the urban rail network and improve connections to several neighborhoods and key facilities in the city. The project envisions a route of approximately six kilometers, although only four will be newly constructed and entirely underground. The line will depart from the Intermodal Station and utilize the existing Jacint Verdaguer and Son Costa stations, extending with new stops at Son Hugo, Son Rossinyol, Son Espases, and Secar de la Real, before reaching Son Serra Perera.
