A dozen people admitted this Monday in the Provincial Court to participating in the shipment of cocaine and marijuana from Peru to Mallorca, hidden inside wheelchairs. The defendants accepted sentences ranging from one and a half to five years in prison for various drug trafficking offenses and membership in a criminal organization. The defense reached a plea agreement with the prosecution, which significantly reduced the initially requested sentences, totaling nearly one hundred years in prison. Under this agreement, most of those convicted will not go to prison. Two of them will have to pay fines of €215,000 and €126,000, respectively. The defendants admitted that between April 2023 and July 2024 they were involved in shipping narcotics from several Latin American countries, primarily Peru. They used human couriers, known as drug mules. muleswho transported the drugs hidden inside wheelchairs. Once the shipments arrived in Mallorca, the substances were distributed and sold. As has been proven, each of the accused performed a specific function within the criminal organization, which was headed by a man who has been identified but is currently a fugitive from justice. Some of those convicted acted as intermediaries with other traffickers, while others were in charge of transporting and storing the drugs. During the searches carried out by the National Police at the time of the arrests, various quantities of narcotics with a market value exceeding €344,000 were seized.

The National Police shut down a drug-dealing operation on Thursday in a house in the Fortí neighborhood of Palma. The individuals responsible, a man and a woman, were arrested for a crime against public health. According to the police, minors frequently visited the location to try to buy drugs. The investigation was launched by the Narcotics Group II following several anonymous tips alerting them to the criminal activity in the neighborhood. Officers confirmed that buyers entered the house and left shortly afterward, and that sales were also being made on the street "by order." During the search, officers seized cash, 2C-B (tusis), and hashish, as well as paraphernalia used to prepare single doses. Three minors also entered the house intending to buy drugs; all three were identified and immediately released to their parents.

The joint operation between the National Police and the Palma Local Police carried out last Thursday in Son Gotleu resulted in three arrests, 70 people identified, and 64 fines. Around 7:30 p.m., dozens of officers deployed to an area where several incidents had recently occurred and inspected two establishments and several vehicles. According to the police, in one of the inspected establishments, a man was arrested after being found with 16 packets of heroin hidden under a cap and in his trousers, as well as cash. In another establishment, a man was arrested who, upon noticing the police presence, went to the bathroom to try to dispose of nine bags of cocaine. The third person arrested was a man with a restraining order against his partner, with whom he was inside a bar.

The Civil Guard and the National Police arrested at least ten people this Wednesday in Mallorca as part of a new phase of Operations Manso and Enroque, targeting drug trafficking and money laundering. Agents deployed a large operation from early morning and carried out 18 simultaneous raids on properties located in Palma, Manacor, Marratxí, Llucmajor, Cala Rajada, and Son Servera, according to sources from both law enforcement agencies. The operation involved units from the Judicial Police, Public Safety, Canine Units, and also included air support. During the raids, quantities of drugs and cash, allegedly linked to drug trafficking, were seized.

The National Police in Palma carried out an operation against drug trafficking in the neighborhoods of Soledat and Foners on Tuesday, arresting three people and dismantling a sales point with armored doors and cameras to monitor the street.
