The Government expects to close this year with about 200 files for irregularities in the nautical sector, after having reinforced controls against intrusion and illegal activities on the coast of the Islands. The figure would represent an increase compared to the 162 files completed in 2025 and would multiply by more than eleven the 17 that were processed in 2019.

The Council of Mallorca has opened two new coastal disciplinary proceedings in Can Picafort for occupations without the corresponding authorizing title. The procedures, issued this September 3rd, affect the SPAR Roma supermarket, located on Passeig de l'Enginyer Antoni Garau, and the Don Denis restaurant and cafeteria, on Passeig de l'Enginyer Felicià Fuster. With these two new cases, there are now six establishments under investigation of which the GOB is aware.

The Tourism Department of the Consell de Mallorca (Island Council of Mallorca) acknowledged that a total of 52 sanctioning proceedings that had been initiated have expired because they were neither resolved nor notified within the one-year timeframe. This is stated in the response sent by the department, headed by Councilor José Marcial Rodríguez, to the Socialist group in the island institution, which had inquired about the number of sanctioning proceedings that had expired due to the stipulated time limit. In its response, the Tourism Department indicates that there is no possibility of restarting these proceedings. However, it assures that those affected will be inspected again to verify whether they still meet the necessary conditions to initiate a new report. It also explains that the fact that 52 proceedings have expired due to exceeding the one-year deadline for resolution is due to various issues, including an "underfunded" transfer of powers and the "disastrous" stabilization process initiated in the previous legislature. The tourism sector also attributes this to nine-month contracts, high staff turnover, and the need to provide specialized training for new instructors.

Of the 4,409 buildings in Palma that were required to pass and submit the Technical Building Inspection (ITE) in 2024, now known as the Building Evaluation Report (IEE), only 942 (21.37%) have done so. 1,9 while the rest date back to 1974. The Cort (Spanish Autonomous Community of Palma) has agreed to initiate sanctioning proceedings against those that have not complied with the obligation, which represents 78.63% of all buildings.
