The Court of Instruction number 3 of Palma has opened new proceedings as part of an investigation into an alleged crime of administrative misconduct related to the processing of a file at the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP). The presiding magistrate has issued a ruling that seriously questions the documentation provided by the EBAP and orders several requests and appearances. According to the court order, file 7/2023 submitted to the court includes an index that is not formally part of the administrative procedure, but rather contains comments and assessments of the documents, without indicating who prepared it or any signature to guarantee its authorship. For this reason, the court requires the Secretary General of the EBAP, Antonio Tomás Gelabert, to appear in court and provide information on the identity of the person who prepared the index, whether it is officially part of the file, and why it is not signed.

The Llibertat Llucmajor and S'ULL parties have filed a complaint for alleged malfeasance against the mayor of Llucmajor, Xisca Lascolas (PP), for "outside-of-contract payments" to the waste management company. Both parties, according to Europa Press, filed a joint complaint with the Balearic Islands Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, with more than 30 attached supporting documents, for investigation and prosecution in Lascolas, as they understand that these 2025 payments were made "without legal protection."
