The Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Palma presented the Rosa Bueno 2026 Awards this Friday, awards that recognize trajectories and initiatives linked to the neighborhood movement. The event was held at the Xesc Forteza Municipal Theater.

The platform Renovables sí, però així no has criticized the Government's decision to declare the Son Cànaves I and II and Na Forana photovoltaic parks as strategic industrial projects. The entity considers that this decision "disregards" municipal sovereignty and "sacrifices" the Marina de Llucmajor area to turn it into an "energy megapolygon".

The platform ¡Renovables sí, pero no así! (Yes, but not like this!) has demanded that the Mallorca Council withdraw its proposal for Priority Development Zones (ZDP) from the amendment to the Island Territorial Plan, as more than 40,000 hectares of the island could be affected by the implementation of renewable energy.

The Balearic Islands Parliament on Wednesday closed one of the most important backdoors through which the largest solar parks, disfiguring hundreds of hectares of fertile land, have crept in: strategic industrial projects. With the approval of the Industrial Estates Law, the authorization of these large-scale installations is prohibited under the pretext of considering them strategic in nature and, therefore, allowing them to be carried out on a fast-track basis.
