His family announced his death on Wednesday in a post on his Instagram account, @xiscoquesada9, the profile from which he had shared information about his medical condition in recent months. In the statement, the family explained: "It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Xisco," and recalled that "his life changed completely when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with metastasis." They also noted that, from that moment on, he decided "to share his daily life unfiltered, showing the process, his fears, and also a strength that left us speechless."

A discovery that opens the door to better diagnosis of the disease. The international team led by Dr. Diego Marzese has discovered genetic changes in little-explored areas of human DNA that could help explain why glioblastoma, the most aggressive brain tumor, is so difficult to treat, the Regional Ministry of Health explained in a statement.

It is a quick and easy test that detects the presence of high-risk HPV types that could cause cervical cancer. If the results are negative, this test is repeated every five years. Uterine cancer is the result of a previous infection with the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which is sexually transmitted. Even so, the vast majority of infections are temporary and do not cause any problems. Their immune systems are less able to fight HPV. The disease can take a decade to develop after infection; therefore, most diagnoses occur among women between the ages of 35 and 50.

That is, when the first cells reach other organs. The work has identified the role of the TIM-3 protein in the most aggressive cells that initiate metastasis. The TIM-3 protein allows tumor cells to suppress the immune system when they reach distant organs, thus ensuring their survival at a critical moment. This fact makes it a moment of therapeutic opportunity and turns TIM-3 into a "unique and specific" therapeutic target for this "precise moment" of the disease.
