The average pension in the Balearic Islands reached €1,230.61 in December, representing an increase of just over 4.5% compared to the same month in 2024. However, it remains €87.10 below the national average. At the beginning of the last month of the year, there were almost 215,000 people in the Balearic Islands receiving some type of pension, 2% more than in 2024, according to figures released this Friday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.

The IB3 works council has stated that it will fight to the bitter end for their rights and to resolve the conflict arising from the internalization of workers. However, a Supreme Court ruling determined that any employee with a permanent contract before an internalization process must be permanent when the service is subcontracted.
