A 25-year-old German tourist was injured on Monday after being stabbed by a masked couple, also apparently of German origin, who allegedly stole 100 euros from him. Police sources told Europa Press that the incident occurred last night at approximately 11:39 p.m., when a hotel employee in the area alerted emergency services that a tourist had entered the establishment with a bleeding abdominal wound. The employee provided initial first aid to the injured man, covering the wound with a towel. The victim was then taken to Son Llàtzer Hospital in stable condition. Several units of the Local Police and the National Police arrived at the scene and conducted several searches in the area until they located and arrested the suspects. According to the officers' account, the now-arrested individuals assaulted the victim and his partner. However, when the man resisted the attack, the robbers pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach.

An 18-meter sailboat caught fire this Thursday at the Arenal Yacht Club. According to information provided by the Mallorca Fire Department, the fire broke out at approximately 1:50 a.m. and resulted in no injuries. Initially, the Llucmajor fire station was mobilized, along with personnel from the Palma Fire Department, the Playa de Palma station, and the on-duty sergeant. Later, due to the intensity of the fire, the Calvià fire station was also activated, and the Palma crews were reinforced. The on-duty technician was also activated. The fire spread rapidly throughout the vessel, which hampered firefighting efforts. Thanks to the intervention of the firefighters, along with the collaboration of the yacht club staff and several sailors, the other boats moored in the area were protected, preventing further damage. The firefighting efforts lasted for several hours, with the fire under control but still active until approximately 6:00 AM. Crews continued working until 7:00 AM, at which point, with the situation now under control, the gradual withdrawal of firefighters from the various stations began. The fire was completely extinguished, and there were no injuries.

A waiter at a well-known bar in Arenal, frequented by German tourists, has been fired and has revealed in a labor lawsuit, to which ARA Baleares has had access, that the establishment allegedly had an under-the-table payment system. The bar worker has filed a lawsuit with the Labor Court seeking moral damages and requesting that the dismissal be declared null and void or, alternatively, unfair. According to his account, the company dismissed him as part of a "strategy" to halt the unionization process among the staff, as he planned to promote union elections representing the UGT (General Union of Workers). According to the affected worker, shortly before receiving his dismissal letter, members of management made a threatening comment about a relative of his, a well-known union member on the island, which—he maintains—demonstrates their awareness of the union activity that was developing within the company.
