The Deixalles Foundation closed 2024 with a 26.52% increase in the number of integration contracts (167). The breakdown among the different companies that make up the foundation shows that Deixalles Serveis Ambientals, dedicated to the collection of bulky items and textiles, green parks, and other activities, signed 88 integration contracts (17% more, 57 with men and 31 with women). 54% were with people over 45 years of age; 79% with Spaniards; and 86% of users did not receive any type of benefit (10% more than in 2023). Beyond the human data, the manager of the integration companies, Maria Jaume, highlighted the work Deixalles does to give objects a second life. "If we reuse them, they don't go to the incinerator," she said. The economic savings for the Administration amount to 35,830 euros and the social return to 10,658 euros. In total, 468,383 units were collected, saving 84,549 kilos of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
