The power of the water expelled by the leak in the pipe simulates a geyser. The problem, in addition to the waste of water it entails, is that the liquid that shoots out of the water fountain expels dirty water and the smell that emanates causes residents to have to move away from the area.

Heavy rains brought by Storm Kristin on Wednesday have caused widespread flooding in several parts of the Balearic Islands and severely disrupted traffic. One of the most visible cases occurred at the entrance to the Son Noguera industrial park in Llucmajor, where the road was completely flooded, making driving extremely dangerous, as shown in images released by the Balearic Islands Meteorological Service. Given the circumstances, the 112 Emergency Service activated an orange alert (level 1 of the Meteobal Plan) across all the islands due to rain, wind, and coastal phenomena, and ordered the suspension of all scheduled outdoor sports competitions and training sessions. The storm also affected air traffic. According to Aena, two flights departing from Palma Airport were canceled, and two others were diverted to different airports in the archipelago. In addition, a flight from Alicante to Palma was canceled due to strong winds, while an Amsterdam-Ibiza flight had to be diverted to Palma and another, between Barcelona and Palma, had to land in Menorca. Delays were also reported on several inter-island connections and flights to other cities in Spain. The 112 emergency service reiterated its recommendation to avoid unnecessary travel, stay away from flood-prone areas and the coast, secure outdoor objects that could be blown away by the wind, and stay informed through official channels. Nearly 80 incidents

The 112 Emergency Coordination Center handled a total of 79 incidents between noon and 8 p.m. on Wednesday related to the storm. According to Emergency Services, the majority of incidents occurred in Ibiza (49), while 17 were in Mallorca and 12 in Formentera. On the island of Ibiza, 16 incidents took place in the municipality of Ibiza Town, 14 in Sant Josep, nine in Santa Eulària, six in Sant Antoni, and four in Sant Joan. Among the incidents across the islands, 19 were fallen trees, 15 were landslides, 14 were trees falling onto roads, ten were urban elements dislodged, seven were liquid obstacles on roads, and six were flooded public roads.

Intense gusts and waves up to four meters high are expected, especially in the most exposed areas. In Ibiza and Formentera, the alert covers the entire island. Westerly winds could reach gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour, with associated rough seas. In Mallorca, the alert is focused on the south of the island, the Levante region, and the Tramuntana mountain range. Locally intense storms are possible in these areas, with wind gusts reaching 80 kilometers per hour, precipitation with small hail, and waves up to four meters high. In Menorca, Aemet (the Spanish State Meteorological Agency) warns of adverse coastal conditions, with westerly winds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour and rough seas, with waves that could reach three meters. This episode of unstable weather is linked to Storm Ingrid, which is affecting much of Spain this Saturday. Snowfall is expected in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula above 300 to 500 meters, while waves could exceed eight meters along the Galician coast and other parts of the Cantabrian Sea, in a weekend marked by numerous weather warnings.
