One night like any other, Ariadna tucks her daughter into bed inside her home, a caravan. Every evening she faces the same uncertainty: how long can she live like this; when will the Administration recognize her right to officially exist where she lives? The girl is six years old and has been trying to register her address at her home for three years. Without success.

The president of the Palma branch of the People's Party (PP), Jaime Martínez, presented the endorsements for his candidacy for re-election as party leader and encouraged the Socialist Party of the Balearic Islands (PSIB), Vox, Más per Palma, and Unidas Podemos (UP) to work as the opposition because, in his opinion, "they are doing too little." The mayor of Palma made this statement when asked about the outlook for the 2027 municipal elections at the presentation of the 812 endorsements supporting his candidacy at the Palma PP congress, which will take place on March 14. Martínez argued that the PP aspires to be the "majority" party that "Palma needs," but emphasized that they are "not focused on speculating," but rather on "solving the problems" of Palma, and expressed his conviction that the citizens will "endorse" them. Regarding the intention of the Vox spokesperson in the Palma City Council, Fulgencio Coll, to become mayor in the next legislature in exchange for possible support for the PP to remain in the Balearic Government, Martínez asserted that, for the moment, he is "the only" candidate currently undergoing a party congress process to nominate himself. On this matter, he indicated that the other parties "have not taken any steps" to present candidates for 2027, and therefore demanded that, "before making predictions," the parties must define their candidates. Even so, the mayor stressed that the Palma mayoralty is a "much more serious" issue than the debate about "the distribution of positions" and cited as an example the legislature in which José Hila (PSIB) and Antoni Noguera (MÁS per Palma) shared the position.

"Palma is not the city it was decades ago. Demographic changes and population growth in certain neighborhoods make it necessary to review the current structure of the district councils in order to create more balanced districts that are more consistent with the current reality of our city," said the mayor of Palma, who also stressed that this distribution is intended for "citizens."

The Feixina Christmas Market has a distinctly Central European flavor. According to the list of stalls submitted by the organizers to the Palma City Council, which ARA Baleares has obtained, 45 of the 61 stalls are registered to just two businessmen from Germany and Austria. Months before the event, these two men formed a limited company to manage markets. Gerald Kendlbacher, who has gained media attention as a collaborator in organizing the market, controls 29 stalls. This past February, he founded the company dedicated to organizing "events, fairs, concerts, and markets," according to the commercial registry.

The PP headquarters in Palma was found this morning covered in graffiti with a clear message: "Stop it." Furthermore, the perpetrators of the vandalism also crossed out the Popular Party logo.
