A 56-year-old man has died this Friday and another person has been seriously injured after having difficulty getting out of the water at Cala Mandia beach, in Portocristo (Mallorca).

A man has died and a woman has been seriously injured in a drowning incident on Son Bauló beach, in the Mallorcan municipality of Santa Margalida. According to a statement from the Emergency Medical Services Unit (SAMU) 061, the emergency services received the call minutes before 6 p.m., reporting that two people were unable to get out of the water.

The two-year-old boy who drowned in a swimming pool in Llucmajor on Monday remains in serious condition in the pediatric ICU at Son Espases Hospital, according to hospital sources and reported by Europa Press. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. and the child was hospitalized, although his life was not in danger.
