Looking ahead to 2029, the document predicts a loss of €1.195 billion. Per capita, €372 million will be lost this year and €958 million in 2029.

The vacant spaces will be used to "develop green areas, public housing, educational facilities, health centers, or renaturalization projects that help mitigate the effects of climate change." However, he noted that "many of these establishments, which are now obsolete, lost their accommodations a long time ago." The Executive expects the calls for proposals to be published between October and November 2025. Once resolved, local authorities will have a maximum period of 18 months to execute the projects and an additional three months to justify them. "six or seven" projects for the acquisition and demolition of tourist establishments were left out of last year's call for proposals, which was funded with €16 million from the European Union. The last one is the only one that has already been taken over, while the rest must be demolished before the end of 2025.
