This tender is for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a new smart tourist signage network. The project has a budget of €220,830.58 plus VAT and is fully funded by the European Union's Next Generation EU funds. The project details that the main objective is to transform the Pla de Mallorca region into a smart and connected destination. To achieve this, a wide variety of elements will be installed, from urban and wooden information points to steel totems, interpretive lecterns, and specific beacons for cycle tourism. All these displays will incorporate QR codes that will allow visitors to access detailed information about local culture, nature, and agriculture in three languages: Catalan, Spanish, and English. Regarding the timeline, the company in charge of the project must complete the work within a maximum period of five months from the signing of the contract, with the commitment that the entire installation will be finished before June 30, 2026.

The Water Plan establishes a direct aid mechanism for municipalities that do not have a connection to the Government's main water network. President of the Plan Association, Joana Maria Pasqual, denounced to ARA Baleares the government's abandonment of these municipalities in Mallorca. The Plan divides the municipalities between those who cannot drink the water they have because it's of poor quality and those who don't have it and must continually use tanker trucks. In fact, last year they spent 800,000 euros. "We only have trucks and promises. Year after year the situation repeats itself, and no public resources have been invested here to help us. We're left feeling abandoned, and I don't want any problems with anyone, but I also don't want to hide the reality we're suffering, that of not knowing how we'll spend the summer," lamented Pasqual, who is calling out the institutions that don't prioritize investment.
