A fire declared early this morning in a room at a hotel in s'Illot temporarily forced the evacuation of more than a hundred people on Sunday. The fire originated shortly after three in the morning in the bathroom of a room on the first floor of the establishment and caused a large accumulation of smoke that activated the emergency protocol.

A 52-year-old British man has drowned in the pool of a hotel in El Islote where he was staying during his vacation. According to 061, early this morning, workers at the tourist establishment found the man floating face down in the pool and notified the Emergency Services.
