A dispute between two women is said to have been the trigger for the fire that on Wednesday incinerated three caravans in the Son Hugo car park, in Palma. According to the National Police investigation, the owner of the vehicle where the fire started had allegedly assaulted the partner of the suspected perpetrator, who, while receiving medical assistance, called the man to explain what had happened.

The National Police have arrested a man for the fire that burned three caravans this Wednesday at the Son Hugo sports center parking lot, in the Son Oliva neighborhood (Palma).

The Palma City Council has required the occupants of the caravans parked in the Son Hugo car park to immediately remove butane cylinders and any other flammable material kept outside, following the fire that broke out this Wednesday at noon in one of the vehicles. In addition, the Council has given a 48-hour deadline to remove any other items left outside the caravans.
