The Criminal Court 3 of Palma has convicted a man for a crime of insult to pay a fine of 1,440 euros, as well as compensation of 1,000, for hanging a banner that called the mayor of Sencelles, Joan Carles Verd, corrupt during the 2023 election campaign.

The Sencelles Town Council has imposed a €10,400 fine on the organizers of an illegal Halloween party held on November 1, 2019, on a rural property within the municipality. The decision is final after the organizers' appeal was dismissed. According to the Town Council, the Local Police went to the location after receiving complaints from several residents and found more than 700 people and approximately 150 vehicles parked around the property. The police report states that the event caused significant noise disturbances, traffic disruptions, and even a traffic accident related to the large number of cars. Furthermore, the presence of hired security personnel indicated that it was an unauthorized business activity, organized without the necessary permits or the safety measures required by law.

The Santa Eulària Town Council has imposed a fine of €177,525 on the owner of a property in Canar for changing its use from residential to tourist without the required permit during the summer of 2025. The inspection revealed that the property was being marketed as tourist accommodation through a digital vacation rental platform. The inspected property is located in a multi-family building on urban land zoned for residential use. According to the municipal planning regulations, vacation rentals are expressly prohibited in multi-family buildings, making the change of use illegal. The proposed penalty is stipulated in the Balearic Islands' Urban Planning Law, which establishes a percentage of 75% of the building's value. In this case, the property's reference value amounts to €236,701.

A message sent to a Telegram group has resulted in a complaint in Ibiza. The Civil Guard has filed a report against a woman for sharing the location of a police checkpoint on the EI-200 road, in the municipality of Santa Eulària, a practice that can carry very high fines. During the operation, they stopped a car occupied by two women who, after being identified, continued on their way as normal.
