A new development of homes on Joan Bauzà street, in the Palman neighborhood of Pere Garau, has ignited debate among residents over sale prices. Most apartments exceed 330,000 euros before VAT, with amounts that can reach over 530,000 euros (including VAT), figures that many residents consider beyond the reach of the area's usual population (and which expel them from the neighborhood where they have grown up and want to live).

The facade of the former Metropolitan cinemas in Palma was vandalized with graffiti this Tuesday morning, and the Flipau con Pere Garau association has warned that this attack on the city's historical heritage is yet another example of the widespread degradation of the area. In a statement, the group lamented that the Pere Garau neighborhood has once again been affected by the appearance of new graffiti, adding to the existing problems of broken sidewalks, vacant lots and buildings abandoned for decades, dirt, litter, and other issues that negatively impact the quality of life for residents. "This kind of damage, when it persists over time, alters the perception of public spaces and leads to a feeling of insecurity and degradation that discourages civic responsibility," they warned.

Residents of the Pere Garau neighborhood (Palma) have reported that a group of young people have broken the barriers in the Plaza Jorge Lluís Borges to access the bottle service and consume alcoholic beverages. They lament that this is not the first time such an incident has occurred, and almost every night there are crowds of young people who bottle shop without any kind of control.
