The Mallorca delegation of the Global Sumud Flotilla has called for rallies at four ports on the island this Sunday to show support for the flotilla leaving Barcelona for Gaza this Sunday to provide humanitarian aid. The rallies took place simultaneously this Sunday (at 7 p.m.) in the port of Alcudia, in front of the Sa Marina restaurant; in the port of Sóller, on the dock; in Portocolom (on the Ponent dock), and in the port of Palma (in front of the Balearic Islands Port Authority building).

The women behind the citizen initiative that was called on July 31st Several marches for Palestine throughout Mallorca, have issued a statement in which they have praised the initiative—which they estimate brought together 22,000 participants on the island—and have criticized the media coverage it received, particularly from IB3, and the reaction of the Government the day after the demonstrations. In the statement, they explained that the meeting, held on Monday in Sineu, sought to express "the grave concern, not to say alarm, caused by the media coverage of the marches" and that the public broadcaster of the Balearic Islands Radio and Television (BRT) "failed to fulfill its purpose of guaranteeing freedom of expression and the right of citizens to receive independent information."
