This report challenges common perceptions about the islands' economic drivers and demonstrates the importance of a sector centered on the collective interests of its citizens. In Inca, the social economy generates 12.37% of the municipality's annual wealth, amounting to €58.5 million annually. 69% of the municipality's organizations focus their activities on care and support for people in vulnerable situations. In terms of employment, this sector represents 13.75%, with 1,170 employees. These employment figures place the social economy on par with construction and far ahead of sectors like retail and hospitality. The report notes that it "is five times the size of the traditional footwear industry."

The Regional Minister of Health, Manuela García, explained that this initiative aims to provide assistance to children and adolescents, and their families, with palliative care needs. In the Balearic Islands, it is expected that between 134 and 179 patients will require pediatric palliative care. The measure will allow those affected to receive continuous care from their referral teams and also spend as much time as possible at home, with maximum comfort and dignity until the end of their lives. Currently, the autonomous regions that offer continuous pediatric palliative care are Madrid, Catalonia, and Murcia.

"Everything was normal. No vomiting, not a single discomfort." Guiem was born and rushed out of the delivery room. Something wasn't right. She received no explanations, only uncertainty. Bea felt "very questioned" because they asked her repeatedly if she had used drugs during pregnancy. When she finally saw her son, "there wasn't a part of his body where he didn't have a wire." "I wanted to die. I just cried while I watched the woman next to me give birth to a completely healthy child. You never erase these moments from your mind. You just accept what you've been dealt. You live with it," she confesses.
