The number of employees in the Balearic Islands' tourism sector reached 181,769 in the second quarter of the year, a 10.7% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. According to data published this Friday by Turespaña, of the total number of employees in tourism activities in the second quarter of 2024, 156,922 were self-employed, representing a 44.6% year-on-year increase.
