According to a statement released by the Local Police, the incident began when a private ambulance was dispatched to attend to a woman with a bleeding head wound and clear signs of alcohol intoxication. According to the complaint filed by the assaulted paramedic, when he attempted to assist the woman inside the ambulance, she unexpectedly punched him in the nose. She then threw medical supplies at the other paramedic, refused further treatment, and left the scene. The victim requested police assistance and went to a medical center, where he was diagnosed with a nasal septum injury. Shortly after, a patrol from the Local Police's Immediate Intervention Unit (UII) was alerted on Argentina Avenue by a taxi driver who claimed that a woman was verbally abusing him because he refused to take her due to her condition. The officers confirmed that it was the same person involved in the assault on the medical personnel. Although a fully equipped ambulance from the 061 emergency service arrived at the scene, the woman again refused assistance. Following the incident and the formal complaint filed by the victim, the corresponding legal proceedings were initiated and have already been sent to the judicial authorities.

We are a society capable of convincing everyone that you can't ride a motorcycle without a helmet, that you're risking too much. In just a few years, awareness of the importance of protecting your head has grown, and also, at least much more than before, of the "if you drink, don't drive" sentiment. We have changed habits, we have raised awareness across generations, and we have increased surveillance and sanctions. But the same zeal that has been shown to preserve the physical head is not applied to protecting the mental state or the liver of minors.

They say the security staff at the door were worried about whether they were from Mallorca because they had bought a residents' ticket. So they said a few phrases in Catalan and let them in without checking their ID to see if they were underage. Inside, they drank alcoholic beverages without anyone noticing that they might not be of legal age. They had a great time, they say, and laugh at how easy it is to go everywhere without having to explain their age.
