The real estate market in Pla de Mallorca continues to surprise: the estate called S’Hort de Sabor has been put up for sale, a plot of almost 64,000 square meters, 9 quarterades, which is part of the homonymous estate of Sabor. It is within the municipal district of Montuïri and very close to the well-known archaeological site of Son Forners.

After learning of the news of the sale of the Sabor talayots in Montuïri, different alarms have been raised regarding this archaeological heritage of great value, located a few meters from the well-known Son Fornés settlement. Thus, the voices consulted by ARA Balears, after publicizing the news last weekend, opt for achieving public ownership of the settlement.

The discovery of archaeological remains in the courtyard of the Sineu Secondary School will require modifications to the new construction that will be part of the school's expansion.

The excavation campaign for the SN2 sanctuary in 2025 at the Talayotic settlement of Illot has concluded "with promising results." Archaeologist Raquel Barceló, director of the initiative, explained to ARA Baleares that during the work they have been able to document "new structures and collect all kinds of samples" that will allow us to deepen our understanding of the daily life and rituals of Talayotic society in Mallorca.

The team of archaeologists working at the Talayotic settlement of Illot has documented new structures and elements of interest in recent weeks, including the remains of a possible home inside the sanctuary. According to a statement, the discovery, along with the study of the numerous ceramic pieces, bones, and sediments, will significantly expand our knowledge of the site. The team has completed the excavation campaign at Sanctuary 2, an intervention that is part of the project 'Chronology and functionality of the Majorcan sanctuaries and the SN1 and SN2 structures of the Islet: a multi-proxy analysis', coordinated by the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA, CSIC-UIB) and the Sant Llorenç des Cardassar City Council.
