Lucía Muñoz, Palma City Councilor and Podemos coordinator in the Balearic Islands; Alejandra Martínez, activist and communications specialist; and Reyes Rigo, activist and healthcare worker, were selected to embark on August 31st on the Global Sumud Flotilla, an international civil society initiative that will include more than 50 boats and representatives from over 44 countries. The fleet, which will depart from Barcelona for Gaza, will be the largest collective effort by the international solidarity movement with Palestine to break the blockade on Gaza and will include sailors, healthcare workers, legal experts, and activists from around the world, including actress Susan Sarandon, Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, and the Brazilian actor.
