He also did swimming. He liked (and maybe still does) playing Pro Evolution Soccer with friends. He has a younger brother, with whom they grew up in the Escorxador neighborhood. He is a "polyhedral and difficult to explain" character. Perhaps it is his elusive and distant character at first rather than anything else, but even his lifelong friend, Àngel Mendoza, finds it difficult to define the character of Lluís Cabot (Palma, 1990), musician and producer. He is known, above all, for having been the leaderof Da Souza for a decade. Àngel Mendoza, who will introduce us to the character, was the band's drummer.

It is a song written by her and her brother Martí, in which she speaks of a Mallorca that cries, of historic records, and of what, Colom says, we all know we have to do when the day gets longer: “stay inside at home so as not to bother them too much”. In a video that begins with a close-up of her and ends with an image of a hotel on the Majorcan coast, the singer from Valldemossa states: “Mallorca, you have been punished, / for getting the maximum profit: / a seasonal product / that now lasts all year round”. It is just the latest example of a whole series of songs with which island musicians and singers have demonstrated against mass tourism in recent years.

Included in various media outlets' lists of the best albums of 2025, the album reflects on the feelings of longing and loss that accompany any migration process, as explained by this singer, who has spent half his life in Morocco and half in Madrid. He will present it on March 28th in a concert at the Estudi General Lul·lià in Palma, where Miquel Serra from Manacor will also perform.

But he was quite mischievous and very restless!" recalls his mother, who says that her son has never called her "Mom": "Even now, he calls me 'Mommy'." When he was nine months old, Riutort realized something: "One day, somewhere, the song..." And will always love you by Whitney Houston. The boy made a sad face and his chin started to tremble. He was in shock and very emotional." The boy who was moved by Whitney Houston's voice and music is musician and producer Juanjo Monserrat (from Arenal de Llucmajor), "a perfectionist who doesn't want to lose even at Parcheesi."

Much less so when it's the death of a friend. Christian Völker Llull (Manacor, 1962) left us the day before Christmas Eve, a victim of illness. Far too soon for a person with such captivating energy and attitude. Always ready to defend, courageous in attack, projects sprang from him and he pursued them with the punk passion that always drove him. One of the last times we saw each other, at his house, we talked about music (always music) and aboutPunk in LondonA 1977 German documentary featuring the new bands on the English scene, which, of course, we watched in its entirety.

The streets weren't paved, and for a few years, the area remained untouched by the voracious transformation sweeping through Mallorca. There, amidst pottery, ball games, toy cars, and a few Beatles songs, the musician Miquel Serra grew up happily, along with his older brother, Joan Serra, and Joan Pasqual, who was responsible for putting words to Miquel's childhood.
