A man has died and another has been seriously injured in a traffic accident between two cars that occurred on Tuesday morning on Palma's second ring road.

The Council of Mallorca has modified the project of the first section of the second Palma beltway with the aim of "facilitating the construction" of the future train that will run from Palma to Llucmajor, according to the Director General of Infrastructure and Technical Vehicle Inspection, Rafel Gelabert. The island institution will build a 15-meter-wide underpass beneath the underground tunnel that will provide access to Son Ferriol from the motorway to the airport.
