All the experts consulted agree that in the audiovisual, musical, literary, and theatrical fields, the first quarter of the 21st century has seen progress in the working conditions of those involved. These improvements are inextricably linked to certain public policies developed in this area—with the current catalog of available subsidies as a key component—which have led to the creation of jobs and training centers. They have also fostered a greater diversity of styles, themes, and genres explored by Balearic creators and, ultimately, greater recognition and connection with audiences, both local and international.

And the country's trade unionism—the pro-sovereignty one; the pro-Catalan one; the one from here, if you understand what I mean—even more so. I haven't said anything you don't already know. Who joins a union today? You don't have to be a genius to realize that labor associations are trapped in dynamics that don't always respond to workers' problems. We have many symptoms of this situation. The fact that last May Day there was no demonstration or significant event by pro-sovereignty unions is a clear example of this. On the day the world of labor celebrates its annual liturgy, "our" people weren't there. And the most serious thing is that no one noticed, no one was surprised, no one was scandalized. Indifference has taken hold on the pro-sovereignty left, and this is very dangerous.

"It's the slowest day of the week," he confirms. In the morning, he goes to a store in Palma where he sorts boxes, like any postman would.
