A 90-square-meter home has an average price of €477,463 in Palma, while similar homes in Inca average €223,517, practically half the price in Palma. At the national level, the most striking cases are concentrated in metropolitan areas. In the Community of Madrid, a 90-square-meter home costs €567,211 in the capital, a figure that contrasts sharply with €225,157 in Alcalá de Henares and €251,901 in Getafe. In Catalonia, a similar apartment in Barcelona averages €464,002, while in Badalona the price is €229,077 and in Hospitalet de Llobregat, €246,545.

The board of directors of Palma's Municipal Transport Company (EMT) gave the green light this Friday to a proposal to increase the price of a single ticket from two to three euros starting in 2026. However, the increase would only affect people who do not use any of the available transport cards – the Citizen Card, the TIB card, or the new card when boarding the bus. The City Council points out that Congress approved on Thursday the continuation of free public transport in the Balearic Islands through 2026, so users who identify themselves with one of the current cards will not have to pay the increase. In any case, the increase in the single ticket price still needs to be debated and voted on by the full City Council. The Palma Socialist Party (PSOE) has strongly criticized the proposal and demanded that the mayor, Jaime Martínez, withdraw what it calls a "high fare." The Socialist deputy spokesperson, Francesc Dalmau, criticized the PP and Vox parties, saying they "don't believe in public transport," and recalled the price increase applied to Bicipalma this summer. According to Dalmau, while the Spanish government "protects free public transport," the PP in Palma City Council "increases fares, making it so that only a few can benefit from the bus." The Socialists have also questioned the implementation of the new Single Card, which is supposed to integrate fares with the Intermodal Card. They claim it raises "more questions than answers": currently, it's not possible to recover the balance on the Citizen Card, which could be lost, and the top-up machines still don't accept the new card.

The reason: the total amount paid by customers: €63,237.90. It's the Annabel restaurant, located on the Paseo del Mar in Palmanova (Calvià), and the restaurant itself made the bill public. on her Instagram profile, where it asks, "Whose bill is that?"
