The Ministry of the Interior has detected 4,378 active cases of women victims of gender-based violence in the Balearic Islands through the VioGen System, 2,143 of whom have minors in their care. According to statistical data from the department headed by Fernando Grande-Marlaska, which cover up to August 31, the majority of active cases in the archipelago (3,567) are low-risk, another 753 are medium-risk, 58 are high-risk, and none are extreme.
