With this acquisition, Gual—who has over four decades of experience in the sector—is committed to maintaining and consolidating the bottling plant, in a strategy focused on preserving a resource he considers strategic for Mallorca. According to a company statement, the move reflects a desire to reinforce the island's productive and food sovereignty and to generate added value beyond the coastal areas. Gual is also president of the Sóller and Camp Mallorquí Agricultural Cooperative and vice president of the Oli de Mallorca Protected Designation of Origin. He also serves on the permanent board of the Serra de Tramuntana Consortium.
