      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/529b0e3e-7358-4b0f-9871-3795163636c8_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0.jpg" /></p><p>The Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) of the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) managed 10,129,062 euros in 2025 for research and innovation, providing 3.6% more funds than the previous year. “The evolution of the UIB's transfer office is very positive: we are obtaining more resources, signing more contracts, and developing more projects”, summarized this Tuesday at a press conference the vice-rector for Innovation and Digital Transformation of the university, Lorenza Carrasco, who gave as an example of this commitment that the office has gone from having five people to twelve.</p>]]></description>

A discovery that opens the door to better diagnosis of the disease. The international team led by Dr. Diego Marzese has discovered genetic changes in little-explored areas of human DNA that could help explain why glioblastoma, the most aggressive brain tumor, is so difficult to treat, the Regional Ministry of Health explained in a statement.</p>]]></description>
