Les Voltes gathered 3,200 people this Wednesday evening during the event day of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest. Three days earlier, the National Police had closed access to the same venue when there were only just over 500 participants in the demonstration against tourist overcrowding. The difference has raised questions because the closing of the gates was, according to the protest organizers, the origin of the tension that led to the police charges.

The Mallorcan Business Circle (CMN) and the Mare Mar Foundation have requested the Consell de Mallorca for the dismissal of the managing director of the Maritime Museum of Mallorca, Albert Forés. The two entities, promoters of the original Museum project, denounce a management marked by "paralysis", "inefficiency" and "alleged irregularities", while the institution defends that it complies with the Consortium's objectives and claims the work done in recent years.

The Maritime Museum of Mallorca will reopen this Friday, October 3rd, after being closed for almost two years for security reasons. The museum's opening ceremony will take place at Les Voltes this Friday at 6 pm and will include a concert by Pere Andreo, a folk dance with Cofre Antiguo, and a large fideuada (a traditional dish of fideuada) prepared by the Balearic Federation of Fishermen's Guilds.
