A total of 151 personalities and 40 entities from the social, cultural, academic, and neighborhood spheres have expressed their support for the Popular Legislative Initiative (ILP) to create a supplement for pensions in the Balearic Islands that are lower than the Interprofessional Minimum Wage (SMI). For this reason, this Tuesday, dozens of members of the Coordinator for the Defense of Public Pensions, promoter of the legislative initiative in question, gathered at the gates of Parliament.

The Parliament of the Balearic Islands has approved the popular legislative initiative promoted by the Balearic Coordinator for the Defense of Public Pensions, which aims to ensure pensioners a minimum income equivalent to the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI), currently set at €1,184 per month in 14 installments.
