Housing prices in the Balearic Islands remain the highest in Spain. According to the latest data published by the General Council of Notaries, the average cost per square meter in the archipelago reached €4,097 in October, a figure that would allow the purchase of more than six homes in Extremadura, where the average price is only €627/m².

Prohens does not foresee "under any circumstances" early elections in the Balearic Islands.

The government of Marga Prohens is not considering "under any circumstances" an early election and will run out the legislative term with the platform with which it won the elections, with the occasional external support of Vox, its natural partner, according to sources within the government who told EFE. They also assert that the situation in Extremadura, where President Maria Guardiola did bring forward the elections, cannot be compared to that of the Canary Islands, where Prohens approved the 2024 and 2025 budgets with the support of the far right.
