The board of directors of the Andratx Port Sailing Club has published an open letter addressed to the President of the Government of Castile and León, Marga Prohens, in which they ask that the closure of the nautical facility be prevented, which they consider imminent if urgent action is not taken. In the document, the Club asserts that the administrative procedure for terminating the concession, initiated following a public tender in 2002, could lead to the closure of this club after almost sixty years of history. The board points out that the origin of the problem lies in "errors by the Public Administration" in the management of the port of Andratx and laments that "those who will ultimately suffer are the citizens, athletes, and workers who form part of the club's social base."
