The Palma Local Police have rescued a dog in a house fire in Palma. According to the force, the intervention took place in a fire that broke out on the ground floor of a four-story building located on Mochuelo street.A call to 092 alerted about smoke coming from inside the building. Within minutes, agents from the Community Proximity Team (ECOP) had moved to the scene and confirmed the presence of dense smoke.

The Civil Guard is investigating two men for their possible involvement in the death of 27 dogs on a ferry, after it was confirmed that the animals died because the quality and quantity of air inside the vehicle was not guaranteed and because they were not provided with adequate care.

The Son Reus Municipal Animal Protection and Health Center in Palma is offering 50 dogs for adoption. The animals requiring more intensive monitoring were admitted under veterinary supervision, while the rest were placed in the Son Reus center after a favorable clinical evolution was confirmed. Cort specified that the 50 dogs are currently in optimal condition and that, starting this Wednesday, they were made available to the public for responsible adoption, after having been exposed to a situation of "extreme vulnerability."
