Specifically, the City Council's budget for 2026 will be €623.9 million, an increase of €13 million compared to this year, or 2.25%. At a press conference following the governing board meeting, Martínez, alongside the Vox leader in Palma, Fulgencio Coll, stated that planned investment will total €90 million, €5.5 million more than in 2025, representing a 6.5% increase. According to Martínez, the largest allocation in the new budget is for Infrastructure, Accessibility, and Industrial Parks, with over €130.5 million, followed by Public Safety and Civic Engagement, with €121 million, and Finance, Public Administration, and Internal Affairs. These three areas account for nearly half of the total planned expenditure for the next fiscal year.
