A motorcyclist in his fifties was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a traffic accident in the Son Anglada neighborhood of Palma. The accident occurred on Camino de Jesús when the motorcycle rear-ended a car. According to initial reports from the Palma Local Police, the motorcyclist was traveling behind a car that suddenly turned. The man apparently failed to notice the maneuver and collided with the back of the vehicle. Emergency services arrived at the scene and treated the injured man. in situ before being transferred to a hospital on the island. The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was also taken to a private clinic with neck pain as a result of the impact. The Palma Local Police have opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident.
