The anti-fascist group Mallorca has gone to La Feixina to disinfect it after the demonstration by Núcleo Nacional this Sunday. On their social media they made a publication where members of the group are seen dressed in PPE and with mops and disinfectant elements to clean the area where the ultra group demonstrated. A demonstration that was a total failure, since, in fact, there were more journalists covering the event than people demonstrating.

About fifteen members of Núcleo Nacional gathered this Sunday in front of the monument to the Baleares cruiser, at La Feixina, in an event that ended up bringing together more journalists than protesters. In parallel, more than a hundred people, called by the Antifascist Coordinator of Mallorca, stood in front of the Consolat de Mar to make clear their rejection of fascism and demand the definitive removal of the monolith.

The monolith of La Feixina in Palma appeared this Saturday with several anti-fascist graffiti, amid controversy over the call for a rally planned for this Sunday, May 24. On the facade of the monolith, the messages 'Racism, fascism neither now nor ever' and 'Never again' can be read, accompanied by an anarchist symbol.

The report from the National Police issued in relation to the Nucleo Nacional concentration concludes that the call by the ultra group in La Feixina in Palma to defend the Francoist monolith does not pose a "risk" to public order and safety. This has been confirmed to el ARA Balears by sources from the same Spanish government delegation and the Palma City Council, who have refrained from commenting on the police report. It is unknown if there has been any exchange of opinions between the local and state administrations on the matter, as the Palma City Council could disallow the cession of the public space where the call is to take place, if the police report were unfavorable.

The Antifascist Coordinator of Mallorca has called a protest this Sunday in front of the Consolat de Mar, at 10:00 AM, in rejection of the concentration planned for the same day in the Feixina park by the neo-Nazi group Núcleo Nacional.

The far-right group, National Nucleus has called a rally to defend the Fajana de Palma next Sunday, May 24. "The Spanish government, applying its Democratic Memory Law, has ordered the demolition of the monument to those who fell in the Baleares Cruiser," points out the neo-Nazi inspired group in an Instagram post. "They want us to forget our history and insult the memory of 800 dead in the sinking of the Baleares Cruiser. We will not allow it. For our history and for true democratic memory," they say.

The path leading to the Ufanes springs was found defaced with Nazi symbols on several stones this past weekend. This was reported on Monday by Podemos, who condemned the increase in attacks by the far right in various locations across Mallorca, given that last week they again targeted the bust of Aurora Picornell on the Molinar promenade.
