They were young people who held a more modern worldview (<em>hip</em> (in English) with slogans like 'make love, not war'. They would be dubbed the 'flower children' in reference to their pacifist emblem. These were, however, children from well-to-do families who could afford to travel to the other side of the world, to places where they could live freely.</p>]]></description>
