The National Police have arrested a man in Palma who was trying to check into a hotel in the city center after leaving a €19,000 debt at another hotel in the same chain in Calvià, where he had stayed for a month and left without paying. The incident occurred last Wednesday when a call to 091 alerted police to a hotel in central Palma. According to the Balearic Islands Police Headquarters, the British national was attempting to check into the hotel. check-in as a guest when hotel staff detected that he was the suspected perpetrator of fraud at another establishment.
