The EiMa festival returns this year with a new edition that, according to the organizers, "consolidates the commitment to contemporary living arts in dialogue with the territory and the rural landscape of Mallorca". The project, directed by choreographer and creator Mariantònia Oliver and presented this Wednesday in Palma with the participation of the autonomous secretary of Culture Pedro Vidal and Oliver herself, maintains Maria de la Salut as the epicenter, but again expands its presence to heritage and natural spaces in the center of the island.

The exhibitionDocuments concerning municipal independence It is an exhibition that has opened to the public in Lloret de Vistalegre, coinciding with the feast day of Our Lady of Loreto, one of the most important dates on the local calendar. The exhibition, curated by Bartomeu Martínez, who has been in charge of the local archives, and Montse Cueto – former Justice of the Peace of the town – offers a journey through the first years of the new town council's existence after its separation from Sineu. As explained by the exhibition's coordinator and councilor, Toni Gomila, the documents on display cover the period between 1925 and 1935 and allow visitors to see "the first administrative steps of a newly formed municipality." These include all the documentation for creating the first coat of arms, as well as other documents such as congratulatory letters from other town councils at the time of independence, and even a friendly message of congratulations from the rector of Porreres.
