The Church of the Cloister of Sant Domingo de Pollença hosted a concert on December 7th by Eva Fernández in a trio format, accompanied by Josep Munar (guitar) and Enric Fuster (drums). These three musicians had previously collaborated on the album I ask (2018), and once again demonstrated a natural and perfectly tuned rapport.

Amid smiles and a naturalness possessed only by musicians who create from the pure present, Mezquida recounted that he had responded that way to a question posed by a journalist from Ibiza. The phrase served as the unintentional thread that guided a concert which reiterated, with absolute certainty, that the music of this duo needs no framework to be understood. It simply happens, flows, builds, and transforms before the audience.

Toni Vaquer's project maintains its commitment to exploring unusual formats and integrating them into a single sonic language. In Voodoo Children Collective, this commitment materializes in a unique fusion: classical instruments that allow "music to be stretched like rubber" coexist with tubes of big band Drier and more defined, shaping a discourse that constantly evolves without losing coherence. Vaquer assumes a role that goes beyond directing: he presents, contextualizes, and dedicates each piece, often turning them into gestures of recognition for the project's musicians.
